Hi Patrick! Nice to hear from you again. I appreciate your insights on the case. And I agree that it was indeed at least manslaughter.

I saw on your profile that you're a retired psychologist. If I could pick your brain, how would Michel's case be better treated? According to my research, initial medical intervention wasn't effective.

As for Bishop Stengl, he said was not aware of Michel's alarming health condition when he approved of the exorcism and did not testify. I personally don't think that's sufficient to absolve him of guilt, but I guess the German justice system thought otherwise.
